Free Energy From the Sun

     It Really Does Make $ense.

The majority of Florida’s electrical energy is produced from coal, natural gas and petroleum.  Shamefully, Florida has more petroleum-fired electricity generation than any other state. This strategy worked in the past when oil prices were low, but those days are a distant memory.  As oil prices rise so does the price of electricity as long as we use oil to produce it.  We have reached a tipping point; not only does it make environmental sense to find an alternative, now it makes ECONOMIC sense.  An alternative is needed, NOW.  How about unlimited free energy from the sun?  Now that’s an alternative!

Florida is the “Sunshine State” and we have a superior, mostly untapped, solar resource at our disposal. Germany, a country with far less solar radiation than Florida, leads the world in solar electricity sales and production, they have seen the light and they are way ahead of the USA. Its past time we started utilizing the sun, our superior resource, to generate electricity!  The Florida Keys can be and should be leading the way for the rest of the state in utilizing this valuable, free, completely renewable resource.  Ask not what your community can do for you, ask instead, what you can do for your community…and put money in your pocket doing it!
